TENNESSEE WALT A HIT ON THE HILLSIDE

On a crisp Sunday afternoon in February, a big crowd showed up at the Hillside Public Library in New Hyde Park to hear "Tennessee Walt's The Other Great American Songbook," Walt's popular primer on the classic country music of the 1920s through the 1950s. "It's always great to see a big house for one of these shows," Walt said. "It's not about me, it's about the power of the music, which is as great as it ever was."
