THE NEW PUNCTUATION ARMY
The New Punctuation Army is an original theater company that has led an intermittent but colorful life since 1984, staging productions of original shows in New York City and on Long Island. Its major productions have included:
* Ernest (a musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest), 1984
* As If (an original comedy revue with music), 1985
* I.D. (a play about identity in sketches and songs), 1986
* Two for the Show (a comedy about a comedy about comedy), 1988
* Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan (a biographical drama-with-music), 1996
* Baseball, Sex and Other Facts of Life (an original comedy revue with music), 1997
* Ernest (Off-Broadway at the Jose Quintero Theater), 2000
* A Gilbert & Sullivan Christmas Carol, 2001
* Pigeons, Popes & Pollution: The Songs of Tom Lehrer, 2008.
The company is currently producing the touring program Tennessee Walt’s The Other Great American Songbook.
