'GOING, GOING, GONDOLIERS' TO BENEFIT GASLOCOLI

Artists from the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island will star in "Going, Going, Gondoliers! A Musical Tribute to Italy," to be held March 16 at 7 p.m. in New Hyde Park. The Italian-themed evening will benefit the company's 2019 production of Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Gondoliers," which is set in Venice. The event will take place in the performance space at Westy Self Storage in Lake Success. "'The Gondoliers' is so thoroughly Italian--one song is even written entirely in Italian--that this seemed to be a natural way to raise money," company secretary Terry Hochler said. "It's perfect for anybody who loves Italy, Italian music or Gilbert & Sullivan."
