A 'MIKADO' TWO YEARS IN THE MAKING

Postponed for two years by the global pandemic, the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company's 2022 production of "The Mikado: A Long Island Fantasy" will debut at Temple Am Echad, in Lynbrook, L.I, on Saturday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. The production, which transports the classic comic opera to 1920s Long Island, has been staged by director Tony Tambasco in a style that combines the best of the 1880s, the 1920s and the 2020s.
