'THE MIKADO' ROCKS MONTAUK

It's a long way from Nassau County, where the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island, is based, to Montauk, the easternmost tip of Long Island. But the company is always ready to make the trip--as it did this past Sunday to present The Mikado: A Long Island Fantasy--because it's assured of a large and enthusiastic audience. That was the case on Sunday, when a packed house laughed and applauded throughout the two-hour show. The company hopes to return soon!
